Lohikeito, or pita bread with salmon, is a delicious dish that can be served as an appetizer or a hot dish. Here's how to cook it

Ingredients:

Thin pita bread (according to the number of servings)

200 g salmon fillet

2 tablespoons soy sauce

1 tablespoon honey or maple syrup

1 teaspoon sesame oil

1 garlic clove, minced

Salt and pepper to taste

Fresh herbs (dill, parsley), chopped, for decoration

Steps:

Prepare the Salmon:

Cut the salmon fillet into small cubes.

In a bowl, mix soy sauce, honey (or maple syrup), sesame oil, garlic, salt and pepper. Add the salmon cubes to this mixture and leave for 15-20 minutes to marinate.

Fry the Salmon:

Preheat a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the salmon cubes on both sides until golden brown and tender, which takes about 2-3 minutes on each side. Make sure that the salmon is well done, but not over-dried.

Prepare Pita Bread:

Heat the pita bread a little in a dry frying pan or in the oven until they become soft and flexible.

Assemble a Lohikato:

Put a little fried salmon on each pita bread.

Sprinkle chopped fresh herbs on top.

Serve and Enjoy:

Roll the pita bread into a roll and serve immediately.

Lohikeito can be served hot or warm. Enjoy your meal!
